Camping at the beach
Well, we finally made it to the beach this season! It was time to dust off the trailer from last fall. Bill took the kids down Thursday night and I joined them on Friday after work. When he asked what I did with my night by myself I told him that I actually went to bed and slept peacefully all night long! By the time I had arrived there Kai had endured several accidents to include a skateboard incident that left his face all scraped up! :0( He seemed to be pretty fine about it all and took it in stride. While we were there I was able to keep the boys out of this gigantic mud area that wasn't too far from us. By this morning I just gave in and said go for it! They loved it. Hopefully the soap and water that followed washed some of those cooties off! We had a great time. It felt like summer! Can't wait to head back.

Mommy & Me Swim Lessons
We signed up with a few of our good friends for swim lessons this year. All of us Mommas seemed to be having a great time! For most of the little ones it was their first time in a pool. Kai was the exception. He really did not dig it at all. He cried through a lot of it! Ironic you say since he has a pool here in our backyard that he gets into all the time! Yes! I wasn't expecting that at all. The problem: he didn't like the structure and wanted to be left alone. The last five minutes of the class the kiddos get to play. He promptly stood on the little ledge inside the pool and said, "1, 2, 3," and jumped right at me not really caring if I caught him or not. After about 6 or 7 of these I encouraged him to find a toy! Looking forward to all the little ones feeling more comfortable next week!

We love cereal!
We ate cereal all the time while growing up. I loved that my mom let us choose pretty much whatever kind we wanted. We too always have a good supply of cereal. Ironically, my kids seem to choose Frosted Mini Wheats over most things! Kai is getting better and better about drinking his milk from his bowl without spillage!
