Carey is doing okay. He spent most of the day in bed. He has a broken neck, shoulder, and rib. No broken collar bone. All he needs now is time. There a 70% chance he will not need surgery. They will have to wait a few months to see how he heals. His sugar levels have been crazy all day (over 400) so they are hoping to get that worked out because that makes him feel lousy too! They are probably sending him home tomorrow morning to rest on his own for the next 6 - 8 weeks with the neck brace and sling. Everyone at the hospital says he is lucky he is alive and not paralyzed. His car is totaled. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE PRAYERS! I know they could still be of use as he begins to heal, they adjust their single income of disability pay, and figure out how to acquire a 2nd car.
Bill and I have been married for over 7 years, but have been together for 12. We both worked in the California Air National Guard and believe it or not met while deployed in Australia. He is a wonderful provider, husband, and father. Together we love to go to the beach, ride our beach cruisers, spend time with family and friends, and go on vacation to warm, sunny places. I love him very much.
Luke is now 6 years old. I can't believe he is in 1st grade. He is a very sweet little boy that at times can be sensative. He tends to stick by his close friends and his little brother. He enjoys swimming, baseball, soccer, riding his bike, and recently taking karate lessons!
Kai is now 4 years old! Time has flown by. This child has NO FEAR. I cannot believe we haven't been to the ER yet. He can more often than not be found in the pool or on his scooter. He loves to be outside and to play with balls. He is very stubborn. If it is HIS WAY then he is OK! If not, sassiness will ensue, believe me! He is very loving and is willing to give out kisses to all!
