Just a normal day.....
Yesterday I took the boys to our weekly swim lessons at the Aquatic Zone. I highly recommend them. This is our 4th year there. If you happen to go, tell them I sent you!
Luke is doing so great. I am so proud when I see him in the lane next to Kai and I swimming with actual strokes! OK. One stroke. Freestyle. He is really enjoying himself. Kai is in a transition stage. He often acts up in class because he has no fear and is so comfortable in the water. He wants to be let loose to jump and dive. I too am ready to not get in the pool every week. Yesterday the teacher mentioned him moving on to the next class. We will see. He is so young at 23 months that I am not sure when he is actually in the class by himself he will still have the same aggressive swimming technique. It might be more like crying and say no, no, no!
After lessons we went to the nearest dressing room to change where I promptly stripped Kai down. Luke of course decided he needed to use the bathroom and couldn't wait. The potty was 2 feet from us, but outside the curtain. I let Luke go and as I was making sure he was OK I felt something warm on my leg. It was Kai peeing on my me! WHAT! When I asked him what are you doing he looked up at me and laughed and smiled. Ugh.
Once Luke returned a minute later we dressed and headed home for baths.......ok, that was the plan. We really stopped by Taco Bell and then the boys played outside while I packed up the trailer for this weekend. Besides.....Mommy was the one that needed the bath!

Toddler Bed
Last night when I got home from work I found Bill modifying the crib into a toddler bed. It was a bittersweet moment. My baby it getting too big, so fast. He hasn't crawled out of his crib yet, but there are many attempts and with the assistance of Luke all things are possible! So....here it is. His first night in it! He did great. He is still asleep as we speak! Bill said he woke up several times thinking he heard him and didn't want him to wander around scared, but I was out. I checked a few times on the video monitor, but he was sawing logs!
PS. It was also his first night sleeping with a pillow, but right before I went to bed I went in to check on him and Daddy had moved his pillow to a little bumper at the opening part of his bed! Ironic. Maybe he sad too.
